Stoneybrook Golf Club ~ 9.96 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Located south of Ft. Myers in Estero is Stoneybrook, one of the longest courses in Florida at 7353 yards. Featuring the "Magnificent 7 Tees," (that's right, seven sets of tees!), this upscale public course runs through immense preserve areas and a variety of pines, oaks, and cypress heads. Although accented with imposing waste bunkers and mounds, the layout's rolling fairways provide spacious landing areas. Not surprising for a Jed Azinger/Gordon Lewis design, every hole is just as spectacular as the last. Best of all, the club is convenient to both Ft. Myers and Naples area hotels. Make sure ... more info.
Copperhead Golf Club ~ 14.08 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Since opening in 2001, CopperHead Golf Club has been a breath of fresh air to the Fort Myers area golf scene. Compared to other area clubs, CopperHead offers a distinctively different golfing experience and has everything one would expect in a top rated golf facility. CopperHead is a par-72 championship course designed by Gordon Lewis with island tees, whispering pines, and elevated greens. The course also boasts the highest point in Lee County. Located just 10 minutes from the Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft Myers, it's convenient for day of arrival or departure golf.... more info.
Old Corkscrew ~ 14.41 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Billed as the only "stand alone" Jack Nicklaus course in Southwest Florida, Old Corkscrew Golf Club is not part of a real estate development. Named for the winding river nearby, it's set on a 275-acre site about seven miles east of I-75. The course is built to Audubon International standards and reflects its original natural setting with stands of cypress and magnificently tall pines. Nicklaus' design philosophy is apparent throughout with well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Put Old Corkscrew on your itinerary and be one of the first to play this extraordinary golf cour... more info.
