Deercreek Country Club ~ 10.7 miles (Not Driving Distance)
A Robert Miller design opened in 1989, Deercreek is a seasoned masterpiece. Stretching to 6702 yards, the par-71 design offers a wonderful test of golf with water on 17 of 18 holes. With the recent addition of TifEagle putting surfaces throughout the course, Deercreek is up to all of the standards of a true championship layout. The clubhouse is set in a southern plantation style that blends perfectly in its gated community of scenic homesites. It is important that you stop in for a bite after your round to take in the full surroundings of the day, and truly say that you lived the "Deercreek Ex... more info.
Golf Club At South Hampton ~ 13.63 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The Golf Club at South Hampton is another great Mark McCumber design found in the Jacksonville area. The course features 16 large lakes and over sixty contoured bunkers surrounded by acres of tall pines and native oaks. The designer's intent is to present every golfer the appropriate risk, offering encouragement to the novice while still challenging the experienced player. All players will have to watch out for the 571-yard 17th, a brutal five par that is definitely one of the toughest holes in the area.... more info.
St Johns Golf & Country Club ~ 15.38 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The Clyde Johnston design at St. Johns is one of Jacksonville's most underrated courses. Part of a master-planned Arvida community near St. Augustine, it's obvious that much thought went into the design. Perhaps the best feature is the numerous sets of tees that Johnston built. You can take it back to the gold markers at over 7200 yards or play it as short as 2400 yards from the family tees. Take it from us, St. Johns Golf and Country Club is a superior golf facility that you'll want to play over and over again. ... more info.
World Golf Village - Slammer & Squire ~ 19.78 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The World Golf Village is considered the most ambitious golf project in the history of the game. The first course, The Slammer and The Squire, was designed by architect Bobby Weed and named for golf legends Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. Golfers of all levels are provided a challenge, yet five sets of tees allow the player to choose a length to meet his or her ability. If the ambiance of the World Golf Village is not enough, the service-oriented approach of the course will impress all visitors.... more info.
Osprey Cove Golf Club ~ 37.34 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Set among tidal inlets and pristine salt marshes this magnificently groomed links-style masterpiece features fairways framed by stately pine trees. Generous landing areas and strategic mounding make this a playable, yet challenging and exhilarating course! Golf Digest considers it a "must-play if you are within one hundred miles." Designed by Mark McCumber, this well-maintained course features Tifdwarf greens and rolling Bermuda fairways. Osprey Cove is just a half-hour's drive north of downtown Jacksonville.... more info.
The Grand Club - Pine Course ~ 51.95 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Every club in your bag is needed at The Grand Club's Pine Course, the longest of the four original courses at Palm Coast. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay created a shotmaking challenge with tree-lined rolling fairways and well-trapped greens. In addition, there's water on 10 holes to add to the difficulty. Take your group back to the tips and the challenge will be all they can handle. The club, now managed by the Hampton Golf Group, underwent major renovations in 2006 and is always kept in premium condition.... more info.
