About Grand Cypress Resort - East & North (Orlando, FL)
Grand Cypress Resort, comprising the North, South and East nines, offers a variety of physical and mental stimuli that provides a test of accuracy rather than strength and distance. The North nine, built in 1984, and just completely renovated in 2008, features terraced fairways, generous landing areas, mounds and platformed greens with yawning bunkers. The East nine, added in 1986, is more generous, with less bunkering, particularly in front of the greens, allowing more run-up shots. Always in perfect condition, Grand Cypress provides one of Central Florida's best, most memorable golf experiences anywhere. Play all 3 combinations - challenging! I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite between Grand Cypress and Celebration. But these are 2 top rated facilities, in all aspects. Great golf course.

Had a real treat here as we played the east course and then were allowed to play the front nine of the New Course. Thought I was at St.Andrews in Scotland! Would have loved to play the back nine.

Actually play East and South as North was closed for maintenance. Then played the new course in the afternoon. Greens on South can more like a Fazio Course than Nicklaus. Definitely play the New Course as it is a great tribute to courses of Scotland.
