About Grande Pines Golf Club (Orlando, FL)
With three designs already on Golfweek's list of '100 Greatest Modern Courses,' renowned architect Steve Smyers has teamed up with player consultant Nick Faldo to create one of Central Florida's most dynamic new courses at Grande Pines, centrally located on South International Drive. Contoured, gently rolling fairways, numerous ponds (water found on 12 holes) and enhanced landscaping are all bordered by tall natural pines, oaks and palms. Numerous undulating greens are elevated and many are well-protected by artfully crafted bunkers... "target-golf" at its best, but recent renovations to landing areas and bunkers have tremendously softened up this memorable, challenging track. Marriott's strong emphasis is product quality and customer service. Perfectly manicured with consistant year-round tournament playing conditions.
HUGE ADDED-VALUE, year round - FREE REPLAYS per availability after 1st round is completed. Complimentary range balls included.

Yvon (Richmond, NH) says:
This was probably the course that I enjoyed the most. Susie set us up with an 7:30 am tee time with a free second round if we were able to get back on. I teed off in the fog over the edge of a small ravine and pond, watched my ball fade back towards the fairway and disapear in the fog, quite the sight. We were the first group out again we were done by 11:30 am had a great lunch at the course and when we asked for a free replay they let us go back out at 12:30. The course was as challenging as any course I have ever played. The greens were undulating and fast. Most of the holes were protected by many bunkers. Many of the tee shots were blind due to the many doglegs. I managed 2 birdies amongst a few three puts. Great golfing experience. The staff there treated us super. If I have to use one word to describe my day there it would be "Awesome"

Very hard course! Not enough stalls at the driving range for a group of 16.

After playing it a few times over the years, we find it less fun than other courses

Robert (Glen Ellyn, IL) says:
If there was such a thing as a course with an ego this is it. Very nice course though, but a little overrated and expensive--$10 for a yardage book, give me a break here guys.

David (Levittown, NY) says:
The value here is the free replay. If you're only playing 18, it's a bit pricey. This is a much tougher course than you might gather from the yardage book, as the traps are all very deep (even the fairway bunkers) and the elevated greens require precise approach shots.

Ben says:
Tough but enjoyable course. Bring plenty of balls and a hot putter....you will need it. You really have to play for certain areas of the green rather than just throw the ball up onto it as you can vey easily 3 or 4 putt from the wrong side of the hole. Really enjoyed the course and the on course staff were very amenable too.

Like this course best of the (5) we played. Greens were smooth and the staff was great. Rangers were pleasant (Rich) and kept the pace of play reasonable. Will play again. Free replay was great for our budget. Clubhouse was very accommodating on getting us back out.

Not a forgiving golf course, play it smart or else you will pay the price... The course was in mint condition...

Douglas (Champaign, IL) says:
For this course and service you need to have a "6"...especially for service, the Marriott staff from top to bottom was by far the best and most friendly and helpful of all of our courses and that is saying a lot given the quality of our other venues!! Kudo's to the staff at Marriott's Grande Pines, and oh by the way, the course was amazing and we will definitely be playing it again!!
