About Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club (Davenport, FL)
Rated by Golf Digest as the Best New Course in 1994 and one of the Top 50 Courses in Florida by The Florida Golfer in 1999, this Ted McAnlis layout is a truly diverse test of golf. Shot positioning is crucial as water and/or wetlands can be found on 16 holes; however, the fairways had been widened in 2004 to create more fair and forgiving landing areas. The front nine is not encumbered by homes, but water features do abound. The back nine plays through a more residential area, offering more generous fairways. The course loves to boast about "the best greens around" - Champion Dwarf! Located on Hwy. 27 in Davenport, just south of I-4 and 15 minutes west of the Disney area and US192.

For me just a boring course. The replay was a horrible 6 hours long. We couldn't even finish the last hole.

Not that impressed to be perfectly honest. While there are a few great holes, it's a very flat windy course that get a little monotonous after a while. Also, I was disappointed with the condition of some of the greens. Good value definitely but not a great course.

Again another excellent and challenging course with freindly staff and a good Pros Shop. It was especially good value for the extras - Voucher in the Pro Shop, lunch and a drink. Great value!
