About Grand Cypress Golf Club-New Course (Orlando, FL)
This beautifully designed Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course opened in 1988 to great fanfare. Inspired by his great performances through the years at St. Andrews Old Course, Jack pays homage here to the birthplace of golf. A "links-style" design to its greatest degree, reminders of St. Andrews appear throughout the course with 150-plus bunkers, elevated tees and greens, stone walls, a winding burn (including a stone bridge crossing), and seven huge, double greens. Plus, replicas of the world-famous first and 18th holes at St. Andrews Old Course and Nicklaus' version of the Road Hole - quite a tribute to the Old Course. Initial appearance was nothing spectacular until we noticed those pot bunkers. What a lot of fun! Next time we would like to play the other 'Old' course, but we would play this again.

This was the best course of the three we played and I would have liked to play it twice instead of the Grand Cypress North and South, The N and S was much more difficult.

Excellent course. Loved every part of the experience. Nice course, nice setting, played the New Course which allowed us to use driver most of the time. Would play this and other Grand Cypress courses if they are equally as well kept as this one. Really like this one!

great courses in top notch condition year after year. The only thing they don't do well is manage the tee times. The pace of play is 4 1/2 hrs - too slow for such a fine facility.

This course was in much better shape than last year. What a difference! It was voted by our group of 24 golfers as our overall favorite of he four courses played by the entire group. We will definately be returning here next year. The starter was excellent, educating our group, while getting us organized and off on-time.

Different style of course. Made for the big hitter pretty much wide open. Don't know if I like concet of dual greens, could be dangerous and noise tends to distract you.
