About Championsgate - National Course (ChampionsGate, FL)
Greg Norman has designed the National as a classic American-style layout that rolls gently through 200 acres of southern woodlands and wetlands. The layout's key trait is diversity with wall-to-wall fairway bunkers running up along holes 12 through 16, three double doglegs, a massive double-green shared by the fourth and 16th holes, and a sunken fairway on the seventh. Impeccably maintained, the National boasts a pristine, natural golf experience without bordering homes or developments. Enjoy an incredible 36-hole day with its equally challenging, memorable sister course, The International. I had not played this course and I thought it wasn't that great. I would consider playing the Internatonal Course but I don't think I'd go out of my way to play the National again.

Good recommendations except for one course. Champions Gate National, was over priced and had the poorest layout of all the courses we played. The greens were all the same shape and narrow and long. Nothing creative.

Better of the two courses at C-Gate with more varied holes. Lots of tricked up holes and pin positions though. Fairways, roughs and bunkers in good shape and greens were slower than average. Would like to try again with better course knowledge in tow.

Absolutely awful. Nothing memorable, except for the tree on the par-3 which is in line of site for your shot to the green ... what's up with that!

The only complaint I have about the National course is there were some holes where greens were next to fairways and tee boxes were close behind. A couple of times I was concerned I might get beaned by a ball. I prefer a less congested layout.
