About Highlands Reserve Golf Club (Davenport, FL)
Set atop one of the highest areas in the region, Highlands Reserve is not your typical Florida golf course. This championship design by Mike Dasher gives you tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees dotting the countryside. Large, fast, undulating greens make this course challenging and fun for all levels of golfers with water coming into play (barely) on just one hole, #10. It's a very sporty course and although it's a tad shorter in length, it can still be a "wee tough" if your game's not on. Located just 10-15 minutes west of the Kissimmee attractions area, Highlands Reserve is a Central Florida favorite! Since 1998 it has become a Golfpac Favorite - one of the more requested courses due to its playability factor. Customers continually rank its customer service and course conditioning as top notch.

Raymond (Wyoming, RI) says:
Nice open course to play on the way in. Lots of room off the tee to begin the vacation.

Bill (Rochester, NY) says:
Great starter course. Easy to roll out of the plane and start swinging because it is wide open. Remember that all putts break hard to the swamp.

Drew (Lasalle, ON) says:
It wasn't like most Florida courses - no water to speak of. It was OK but did have difficult greens.

Kenneth (Danvers, MA) says:
Very playable layout with plenty of room for drives. Not nearly as difficult as slope rating. Huge bunkers frame holes but most greens allowed run up shots. Big undulating greens were slow. Fairways were excellent surfaces but some bunkers needed maintenance. Clubhouse facilities are muni quality but bagman was efficient handling lots of players. Convenient location right off highway.

Julie (Ridgeville, ON) says:
The driving range is a bit short - my husband kept hitting it through it with a driver but there were no signs that it was an irons only range. With all the rain Orlando got, the course was still very dry and the grass was pretty spotty. For the price we paid, it was acceptable.

James (Hickory Hills, IL) says:
Starter was excellent. He could see that the foursome ahead of us was going to cause problems for any group behind them. Went up and got them to let us play through on the first hole. I have never seen that before. Guy knew what he was doing.

Harvey (West Newton, MA) says:
The other guys didn't like it. I did. Had actual hills like we do in New England. Rules fuzzy to us on sandy areas.

Bill (Rochester, NY) says:
Wide open, forgiving and a great course to roll of the plane and scrape off the winter rust. Definitely our first round course for the future.

Robert (Lithia, FL) says:
Very good course. Everyone liked it. Good Job!

Robert (Bay City, MI) says:
Fairways are hard and not in as good condition as some of the other courses but probably par for the price.

Douglas (Dublin, OH) says:
Play 36 there every year (11 total now). No water is a plus. Staff very helpful. Course is still challenging and fun. Will continue to keep this course on our schedule for years to come.

John (Halifax, NS) says:
The only course where we experienced rain, but it is open and forgiving, a good place to start the week after not playing golf for a while. Staff very amenable.

John (Baie-D'Urfe, QC) says:
No curb appeal when you show up, proshop, practice area and first hole leave a bit to be desired, then course gets better. Wide open, good opener course, would play again because good value for the money. Pace was fast 3 1/2 hours.

Joe (Ballwin, MO) says:
All just loved this course. Would really like to play in the growing season.

Steve (Lexington, KY) says:
WE PLAYED THIS COURSE 5 YEARS AGO AND THIS TIME IT WAS IN ALOT BETTER CONDITION. GREENS IN ALOT BETTER SHAPE & THE ORANGES TASTED BETTER.

Bruce (Troy, MI) says:
Best staff in the business.

Alan (Stratford, ON) says:
I enjoyed the length of this course. I enjoyed the layout and the extreme winds to add extra challenge to an already long course. The greens were also rolling very nicely.

Geoff (Franklin, TN) says:
always a good value

Sorry, we actually liked this course very much. I previously rated this course in error. We liked Highland Reserve very much.

Our least favorite. The staff were great but it was quite a drive and the "links" course is not our favorite
