Opened in 1998 as a tribute to golf legend Arnold Palmer and hotel business magnate Kemmons Wilson, Orange Lake's Legends has quickly become one of Orlando's most popular courses. Laid out by Palmer Course Design, the course provides two distinct nine-hole layouts. The front side has been named The Links Nine for its open feel, which reminds one of playing the great links of Scotland and Ireland. The back nine, or The Pines, has tight, tree-lined fairways similar to the great American layouts in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Combined, the course provides an extremely entertaining and challenging round of golf, with water bordering on just 10 holes. How about 36 holes? Sister course, the Reserve, is just 5 minutes away! Course was in bad winter condition. We were surprised by this as it is an Arnold Palmer course. Lack of upkeep. Traps unraked and greens in tough condition. Start was delayed and Play was VERY slow.

The best course of the 5 we played by far! The staff was exceptional and the starter took great care in pairing our group and giving us quality instruction. The only real drawback was the pace of play..it does get a lot of resort play so we were about a 1/2 hour off pace. The greens/fairways and overall condition was excellent. They pay attention to the details and it was our final tournament course....just right!

It was a very nice course and kept in very good condition. There was a small mixup after our round. The voucher showed that we had unlimited golf that day but the staff member in the proshop didn't believe us because our paperwork had already been cleared out earlier in the afternoon. It got cleared up and we squeezed in another 9 holes. I didn't like the fact that the clubhouse didn't take cash.

Orange Lake was in much better condition than last year. Some of the greens were a bit "thin", but fairways were excellent. Our group of 24 tee off was 20 minutes late when we teed off after 9 AM. Slow starts have been common in our four years of playing this course. There was no beverage cart all day. We could not eat outside because of all of the bugs (black flies). We did not see bugs at any of the other courses during the week. However, our large group was accommodated inside. The gentlemen server did a SUPER job.

A first time course for this group. The entire group loved the course and was thrilled at the opportunity to play "The Legends". The course was in great condition and provided a good challenge for all. This will become a regular for our group.

Really nice conditions and the course played well. A little slow pace of play experienced throughout most of the day. No beverage cart on the course at all which I found strange for a Saturday. Cart's GPS was not working and had requested twice to change carts but noone responded to our request. After round informed staff which appeared just to shrug it off.

The group's favorite. We play there every year and every year the guys all tell me how they enjoy the course. It is player friendly, easy to get in extra holes and a convenient location for food and shopping. I have a timeshare there myself.
