BRIDGEWATER, THE GOLF CLUB AT (Lakeland)

Call for Early Booking Specials

Surcharge From -($7.00)

Ranked #18 by Golfweek's Best Courses To Play in Florida 2008, this exciting links-style course called for all of architect Steve Smyers' years of skill and ability in course design. The goal: to build a challenging test of golf, a pleasurable experience for all skill levels, a stern challenge for long hitters. As a reclaimed phosphate mine with stands of native oaks, the original terrain was flat. The topography now features undulating fairways (six connected by winding bridges) and multi-tiered tees and greens, many surrounded by well-placed bunkers. The flow of the land around the greens was carried onto the putting surfaces, resulting in slopes, ridges, and numerous potential hole locations. BridgeWater requires 'strategy' to play skillfully and rewards classic shotmaking with an extra risk/reward approach. Lakeland off I-4 between Kissimmee and Tampa.

CHAMPIONSGATE GOLF CLUB - NATIONAL (ChampionsGate)

Rated 4 stars Rating based on (261) customer reviews

Surcharge From $2.00

Greg Norman has designed the National as a classic American-style layout that rolls gently through 200 acres of southern woodlands and wetlands. The layout's key trait is diversity with wall-to-wall fairway bunkers running up along holes 12 through 16, three double doglegs, a massive double-green shared by the fourth and 16th holes, and a sunken fairway on the seventh. Impeccably maintained, the National boasts a pristine, natural golf experience without bordering homes or developments. Enjoy an incredible 36-hole day with its equally challenging, memorable sister course, The International. Superior service and quality playing conditions are a hallmark of the property's outstanding management.

DEBARY GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB (Debary)

Rated 4 stars Rating based on (70) customer reviews
Call for Early Booking Specials

Surcharge From $0.00

Located on Orlando's north side in DeBary, this challenging course was designed by the golf design team of Clifton, Ezell and Clifton and is part of a vibrant semi-private country club community. Most holes are set away from the community by a buffer zone of dense woods and vegetation. The setting is more reminiscent of the Carolinas than Central Florida and The National Audubon Society has certified the course as an official bird sanctuary habitat. Most interesting for this part of Florida is the fact that the layout features just one water hazard, which borders both the 9th and 18th greens; these finishing holes join together and create a beautiful backdrop for their spacious clubhouse. With great course conditions, undulating fairways, and greens that always roll true and fast, it's no wonder Debary is consistently chosen as a US Open Qualifying site.

DEER ISLAND CLUB (Deer Island)

Rated 4.5 stars Rating based on (78) customer reviews

Deer Island Club is the centerpiece of a remote 400-acre island that separates beautiful Lake Dora and Lake Beauclaire. The shoreline is rimmed with ancient oaks, pines, palms and cypress trees, along with panoramic views of quaint Mt. Dora in the background. Most likely you'll even catch a glimpse of lounging native alligators along the lake banks. Although water borders all 18 holes, the course is eminently fair and will not penalize a good shot. Architect Joe Lee called Deer Island the "most unique course I've ever designed." An excellent value, this course is well worth the drive to Mt. Dora, 40 minutes northwest of Orlando. Set atop one of the highest areas in the region, Highlands Reserve is not your typical Florida golf course. This championship design by Mike Dasher gives you tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees dotting the countryside. Large, fast, undulating greens make this course challenging and fun for all levels of golfers with water coming into play (barely) on just one hole, #10. It's a very sporty course and although it's a tad shorter in length, it can still be a "wee tough" if your game's not on! Conveniently located just minutes from the Walt Disney World area, Highlands Reserve is a Central Florida favorite! Since opening its doors in 1998, this course has been a Golfpac favorite - one of the most requested courses. Customers continually rank its customer service and course conditioning as top notch.

Cart paths now run the length of the course, tee to green, and water comes into play on 13 holes. Don't expect to recognize many of the new holes as this picturesque redesign will have you questioning your ability to remember what used to be! The Cypress is a unique addition to this terrific golf facility and creates a great 36-hole combination with its sister course, the Oaks. Play them both - you won't be disappointed.

STONEGATE GC AT SOLIVITA - OAKS (Poinciana)

Surcharge From $9.00

As the focal point of the popular community at Solivita, Stonegate Golf Club is a great example of how a course can be enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities. Designer Ron Garl laid the course out at over 7000 yards from the back tees for the "big hitters," but also ingeniously mapped out three more forgiving sets of tees. With water on eight holes and free-forming collars around the greens, there's a definite emphasis on the short game. After all, golf's most famous adage is "drive for show and putt for dough." Always meticulously groomed with rolling, tree-lined fairways, natural vegetation and wetlands, and a habitat to the native wildlife, what's not to like?! Whether playing 18 or 36 holes with its sister course, The Cypress, you'll treasure the memory of these two fine courses. Located in Poinciana, about 25 minutes south of US192 in Kissimmee and the Disney area.
