About Orange Lake Resort - The Legends (Kissimmee, FL)
Opened in 1998 as a tribute to golf legend Arnold Palmer and hotel business magnate Kemmons Wilson, Orange Lake's Legends has quickly become one of Orlando's most popular courses. Laid out by Palmer Course Design, the course provides two distinct nine-hole layouts. The front side has been named The Links Nine for its open feel, which reminds one of playing the great links of Scotland and Ireland. The back nine, or The Pines, has tight, tree-lined fairways similar to the great American layouts in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Combined, the course provides an extremely entertaining and challenging round of golf, with water bordering on just 10 holes. How about 36 holes? Sister course, the Reserve, is just 5 minutes away! I commented earlier about the job Brian Decker did to correct a problem we had. He was a true gentleman and a professional that Orange Lake should be proud of. We went from not wanting to ever play the course again to have it as one of our replays for years to come.

We had a 1:30 delay for fog which apparently isnt that unusual for this course. Once we started, the course was beautiful. Had my low round for the week which may have been a function of the generous landing areas. Would play again.

We had a fog delay in the morning. They were very professional and understanding knowing we had a second tee time in the afternoon. The pro actually drove out to the green we were on and informed us the re-arrangements.

very nice course despite being surrounded by highways and hotel/resort. had a 1-2 hr fog delay, but staff was helpful in changing our afternoon tee time at the other course so we could get both rounds in.

In my opinion this was the best course on our vacation. It was also one on the substitute courses as we had booked to play The Reserve at Orange Lake. EVerything was in tip-top condition and the hospitality was superb. Will definitely play this one again.
