About Rio Pinar Country Club (Orlando, FL)
A pleasantly charming club with old Florida history, Rio Pinar totals an impressive and challenging 7000 yards from the tips. The clean simple layout is always in great condition and meanders through mature pines and oak trees with beautiful plant life and fauna everywhere. Unlike some of the tougher—some might say unfair—courses in the area, Rio Pinar provides a straightforward test and is a perfect choice to help get rid of any rust early in your trip. Originally designed in 1959 by Mark Mahannah, it was redesigned in 1995 by Lloyd Clifton, one of Orlando's most popular and successful golf course architects. Home to the Citrus Open (PGA Tour event) from 1966 thru 1978 and the Ladies' Citrus Open from 1979-'82, the course is also one of Orlando's most historic. You'll find this terrific golf club located an easy 15-minute drive from Orlando Int'l Airport.
Private course - closed on Mondays; tee times after 11AM on weekends (morning reserved for members).
